I am not sure what to say about Dave and his team, other than they were fantastic.  We went through a tough renovation that had lots of twists and turns.  Dave, Vince and crew were amazing.  I would, and do, recommend this company to anyone looking for extremely confident and competent builders and designers.  Thank you Dave and crew.

This is very rare for me to say, but I wish I could give 6 stars. Dave and his Island Builders team worked with us from design to 100% completion on a beautiful master suite addition to our Victoria character home.

We were not very experienced with building or renos, and Dave patiently helped us through every step of the way. He and his team wisely purchased materials well in advance to avoid unexpected cost increases or supply chain issues. The carpenters and tradespeople were high caliber, friendly and respectful. Every single one of our questions were answered promptly and completely.  Completion date was almost exactly as promised (and was only held up by us).

Dave Novak of Island Builders took on a renovation for us in 2022. Our wood-frame double-glazed windows had been leaking and damaging the wooden envelope of our home. Dave laid out a plan, and his crew was competent, consistent, polite and hard working in delivering that plan, within our budget and within the time frame projected. While we lived there, the house was stripped to its wooden bones, thoroughly inspected and repaired all damage and replaced all the windows. The house was properly water proofed, and siding shingles were replaced with concrete based siding, We decided to get a heat pump and our electrical power increased and Dave integrated that project into the main one. He has followed up with a check in 6 and 12 months. We could not be more satisfied from start to finish. The house is now adapted to climate change, it has better insulation - evident in the cold of last winter and heat this summer and the value of the house has improved. Dave Novak is trustworthy, knowledgeable, a great communicator and fulfills his commitments plus.

Island Builders were very easy to work with from start to finish. They provided a site manager who was a good communicator and kept the site clean at the end of each day. The owner communicated immediately about any questions or issues. The subtrades provided excellent work and returned if there were any small details missed or needed fixing. Even now, one and a half years later, I received immediate attention for a small granite chip. We highly recommend this company.
